Handicap Parking

Requesting a Handicap Parking Space

If you are in need of a handicap space at your residence, the Public Works Department is happy to assist you. In order to do so, we need the following documentation presented to the Borough Administrative office:

  • The valid PA Person with Disability Parking Placard (the one that hangs on the vehicle review mirror).
  • The PA Person with Disability Identification Card that is issued with the placard. This card must have the individuals name and correct street address where the requested parking spot is to be located.

If you have not yet been issued a PA Person with Disability Parking Placard please visit the Pennsylvania Department of Motor Vehicles website to complete that process.

Please note:

  • The borough can only place handicap spots directly adjacent to the person with a disability’s residence.
  • Handicap spots are NOT reserved for the property they are adjacent to. Any vehicle with a valid Handicap Placard can legally park in the spot.

Removing a Handicap Space

If there is a handicap space in front of your home that is no longer needed, please contact the Borough Administration Office and the signage will be removed.
