Civil Service Commission
The Civil Service Commission is responsible for the Civil Service Testing of Full-Time Civil Service Police Officers and Firefighters as well as promotional exams for those employees. It also hears appeals on the suspensions, removals or demotions in rank affecting those employees. The Commission is governed by the Civil Service Rules and Regulations and applicable law. Alternates serve in the absence of regular appointed members to ensure a quorum as required by law.
