Staffed by both full and part–time officers, the Swissvale Police Department seeks to serve our community with pride and professionalism. Swissvale Police Officers are certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Our officers are expected to be proactive, professional, and community oriented.

Swissvale is one of the few municipalities in the area that utilizes not just one, but two K-9 officers. Widely recognized for their advanced search and recovery skills, K-9s are also beneficial for situation de-escalation. Swissvale’s K-9s can often be found assisting in neighboring communities.
