patchThe Police Department is comprised of 25 Officers incuding our K-9.  The Department is a highly trained and professional Department answering a wide range of calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  In addition to all Officers being trained and certified in General Patrol duties we are fortunate to have a general investigations Detective, 2 School Resource Officers, a narcotics investigation Officer, a Bicycle Officer and a K-9 Officer.  We also have several Officers trained in Critical Incident Response.  Our current rank structure consists of the Chief of Police, 2 Lieutenants, 2 Sergeants, 1 Detective and several Patrolmen.  We are dispatched by the Allegheny County 911 Center.  After normal business hours, the Borough Building is locked.  Should you need to come to the Police station and find the doors locked, there is a phone in a gray box next to the elevator door that rings directly to the dispatch center.
We serve a diverse population of approximately ten thousand plus residents.  We respond to calls in our residential areas, our businesses districts and we have an elementary school as well as a Junior High school.  The entire Borough is patrolled 24 hours a day.
